Tomi Adeyemi's "Children of Blood and Bone" is adapted into a movie

Tomi Adeyemi’s bestseller young adult romantic fantasy novel, Children of Blood and Bone, is currently being adapted into a movie that will be released on IMAX on the 15th of January, 2027. 

Although the cast of the movie including A-list actors like Idiris Elba, Thuso Knew I, Amandla Steinberg, Samson Idris, Tosin Cole, Viola Davis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Cynthia Erivo has been revealed, a larger chunk of the work is still on the shoulders of the director, Gina Prince-Byethewood, who is trusted enough (due to her antecedent e.g The Woman king) and other skilled filmmakers on the team to give breath to this art work

Plans are really solid and production is scheduled to start in few weeks in South Africa. Is this a coincident with The Woman King project? Maybe, maybe not. However, in the coming days, fans can look forward to more casting announcements, with an open call for Nigerian actors already underway.
