Peter Obi shares moments at Chimamanda's book launch in London
Peter Obi, a former presidential aspirant, hinted on his Instagram page that he travelled to London on Sunday the 2nd for lots of engagements, among which were meetings with development experts and Chimamanda's book launch ''Dream Count'' at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London. He also hinted that the event had about 3,000 people in attendance, and Adichies's conversation with journalist and author Elizabeth Day was insightful, keeping the audience fully engaged throughout the event.
He added that the event ''was not only a celebration of literary excellence but, more importantly, a testament to the immense potential our beloved nation holds if we invest in the most critical measures of development reflected in the Human Development Index (HDI): education, healthcare, and lifting people out of poverty.'' He, therefore, cited a correspondence between his earlier discussions with development experts and Adichie's performance, expressing optimism towards the realisation of a better Nigeria.
