Ruggedman reveals why he is not married at 51

Nigerian rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Steven, a.k.a Ruggedman, said in an interview on TVC's Your View today that he wouldn't know if he made the right choice by vowing as a young man not to have a child outside wedlock. He said he believed it wasn't something he wanted to do with just anybody. While he affirmed that he had been with a number of women, none had worked out like he hoped.

On domestic violence, he said he would walk out of any relationship than resort to violence should his partner trigger his bad side or disrespect his boundaries. To drive this view home, he said he once broke up with a lady who pushed him in public after an argument. He advised against being in abusive relationships instead, stating that people should prioritise safety and well-being because it’s better to leave an abusive relationship than risk one’s life.
