Nigeria's Nollywood industry is a cluster of talented people who are either A gamers in their own right and areas of specialization or newbies that are gradually climbing up the ladder of professionalism. While it may take just a little time for some of these newbies to get noticed, it may take forever for others to get the big break. Ironies you would say. Little wonder Stephen King says talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work. Hmm...very sensible but chale, wait oh, this quote is debatable sebi? Anyways, that's for another day sha.

Oluwagbemisola Anthonia Adefuye, popularly known as Toni Tones, like every kid would have thought to be this and that but didn't really know how much influence her brother's musical career and creative ability influenced hers until she grew a little older. After her university education at the University of Lancaster in London where she studied economics, she was convinced her passion for being creative was unrivaled. So, she went a little further to study at Relativity Film School in Los Angeles to shape her acting potential.
Today, Toni Tones isn't just an actor, she is more. She is that servant with more than one talent and they have always determined what she can do. Her motivation has shown how much she is willing to do them and her attitude has displayed how well she does them (Lou Holtz). Honestly, that explains how she has been able to build a career in photography since her early days in London. The peak of that for her was when the producers of D’banj’s reality show Koko Mansion reached out to her about doing photo shoots for the girls in the house live on national TV. After that experience, she pushed further and got gigs from ace publications like Genevieve magazine, TW magazine, Allure magazine, Elan magazine, Soundcity, Made magazine, etc. and a number of artistes like Wizkid, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Nneka, Waje, M.I and so on.
While that phase of her life was in motion, she ventured into acting. As fate would have it, she clenched her very first audition and landed the lead role in the series Gidi Culture.She has been in many more ever since including KM 17, The Eve, Smart Money Woman, Brotherhood, etc. In 2020, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards and has been featured twice (2020 & 2023) on Film One's list of highest-grossing female actors of the year confidently occupying number 2 and 3 spots.
As sweet as these achievements sound, her music career which she kick-started a while back is yet to make as much noise as her photography and acting careers. A venture that's kind of common to Gabriel Afolayan, Genevieve Nnaji, Tonto Dikeh, Ikechukwu (who has since switched to full-time acting), Broda Shaggy, Pasuma, Femi Jacob, Seyi Shay, and Tiwa Salvage. With a new EP titled Tins I Love to occupy a space in the music world, we can't but wish our Wonderwoman success.
