Sanyeri explains why he is picky in accepting movie roles

 

Comic actor, Sanyeri (Olaniyi Afonja) has cleared the air on why he isn't seen in many movies these days like it was in the days of yore. While conversing with Kola Olootu in Lagelu 96.7 Fm, it became impertinent that he talked about it since many industry mates were already accusing him of arrogance. 

First off, he called those peddling the rumour as never-do-wells. According to him, it was high time he became picky and conscious of his involvement in any film project since his ascent to the pivotal stage he is now in his career; emphasizing the necessity of scrutinizing movie roles offered to him and the imperative of safeguarding and elevating his brand in the fiercely competitive entertainment industry.

Furthermore, he asserted that indiscriminately accepting numerous movie offers could potentially dilute the unique essence of his brand, undermine the credibility he has painstakingly built over the years. Now, he meticulously reads and dissects each script, to ensure it resonates with his artistic vision and distinctive style because at this point in his career, it is essential to avoid getting entangled in controversies stemming from movie roles he hasn’t fully assessed or understood.
